Aracely

I am from Guatemala, the country of Eternal Spring. It is a country with very hardworking and friendly people! I love to teach Spanish because I like to help students increase their professional opportunities so that they can communicate better with Spanish-speakers. Over time, I have met amazing people from whom I have learned a lot and I consider them not only my students, but also my friends. I am proud to be able to teach Spanish and my Guatemalan culture to everyone who is interested in learning more.  I consider every student to be a window into the world because I see the world through them.

I enjoy listening to music, dancing, reading, traveling, walking in the mountains, and spending time with my family and friends. I especially love to cook traditional food from my country!

Aracely is an experienced, kind, and caring tutor. Always tailoring classes to my needs, she has taught me grammar and vocabulary and also greatly improved my writing. She also gets me talking with engaging conversations about Latin American culture, letting me practice Spanish while learning more about the world. I'm so grateful to have found Aracely. She is an excellent teacher."

I highly recommend Aracely. She is not only an excellent teacher but a very kind and insightful woman. I had tried learning Spanish many times before and felt stuck at a beginner level. Aracely helped me reach conversational fluency using a mix of teaching methods including written vocabulary exercises, watching movies and listening to podcasts, and in-depth conversations about life.”

Teaching Style

My experience as a Spanish teacher is very extensive as I have been teaching for over 25 years to a variety of students from different levels. I have the ability to teach students with different professions, ages, and interests, such as for work, travel, exams, or just to converse and continue to maintain their Spanish. I use creative and dynamic methods, such as flashcards, readings, videos, movies, and grammar exercises. We can focus on a variety of important topics, such as social, political, medicine, and popular literature.

I like to customize the lesson for each student where it allows them to expand and improve the language through grammar and conversation in a creative way. I also organize group discussions among my students for advanced practice opportunities.
